He is a father of six and also has four beautiful granddaughters and another grandchild on the way. Ray Mack says his mother is a cooking woman and he learned some techniques from her. How To Make Southern Style Hash Browns | DIY Hash Brown Recipe TUTORIAL
Southern-Style Homemade Hash browns | Ray Mack's Kitchen and Grill
Ingredients:
•5 white potatoes 🥔
•1 med. onion 🌰
•All in One Seasoning (Spain's Spices) or use your favorite all purpose seasoning
•Black pepper
•Italian Seasoning
• 2 tablespoon butter (1 for each side)
•Parsley for garnish
Directions:
1. Clean and skin your potatoes.
2. Shred your potatoes using a cheese shredded.
3. Dice your onion.
4. Add your potatoes and onion to a bowl, along with all your seasoning and mix well.
5. Heat a cast iron skillet 🍳 on the stove, add 1 tablespoon butter 🧈. Add your potato mixture to the hot skillet. Flatten your potatoes to the skillet using a spatula this will help form a crush.
6. Once the bottom forms a crush, flip your potatoes onto a clean plate, add 1 tablespoon butter to the skillet and add the potatoes back as well.
7. Cook your hash browns until it become CRISPY. DIVIDE it up into portions and ENJOY.
COOKING TIP: After you shred your potatoes using the cheese shredder, Place your raw potatoes onto paper towel sheets and squeeze until all of the water moisture is squeezed out. This will definitely give you a crispier hash brown.
